I was born in Virginia in 1978 and lived in Manassas, VA for the duration of my elementary through high school years. After graduating high school I worked and went to a community college for about a year and a half. After that I wanted something new so I applied to a couple colleges and here I am. When I first got to Radford University I didn’t know that many people. But I did however have a good friend there, her name Is Erin McDerment. Not only was she one of the only good friends I had here but she also introduced me to Papa Funk. Erin had told them that I liked to do lighting and they asked me if I would be interested. So a couple months after that I went out and spent everything I had on a board, cans, dimmers, cords, etc. And thus began my lighting technician career. In the beginning I knew absolutely nothing, I just knew that I enjoyed doing lights. Since then I have learned a lot, but there is always more to learn! My future goals and plans are to buy some more cans, but my main goal is to start working with intelligent lighting.

Working along side of Papa Funk for the last four years has been incredible and I hope that now that we are in sweet Georgia, we can continue doing this on a larger scale. I would like to thank my family for sticking by me through some of the rough periods in my life, Every one in the Papa Funk family including the fans. There is nothing that makes me more happier then seeing people at our shows smiling and dancing and having a good time.
